Two days after the stoning of Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima by some youths, Ali Modu Sheriff, former Governor of Borno state also got his share the stoning.
During a visit to the Shehu of Borno, youths reportedly pelted the convoy of the former governor with stones and demanded that Sheriff be turned back from the palace.
While throwing stones, sticks and pure water sachets at the former Governor the youths shouted "we do not like you, get out of here", "You are the cause of our problems, you are the cause of Borno problem, you brought Boko Haram crisis on the state".
The former governor had to be ferried away to safety after his convoy was vandalized by the youths. Sheriff is yet to release a statement on the incident.
