BREAKING NEWS: Corporate Affairs Commission, shut down office over deduction of salaries.

The Staff of the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, today, shut down their offices at the Abuja headquarters to protest on what some staff describe as illegal deductions of their salaries by the management of the commission.

 

A lawyer who pleaded anonymity told newsmen that; "The workers said they will not work until the management stops deducting their pay illegally,"

As at the time of this report,the spokesperson for the commission could not be reached for comments.

The CAC is the agency responsible for company registrations in Nigeria. It is also an autonomous body charged with the responsibility to regulate the formation and management of companies in Nigeria. It carry out its functions through accredited members of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
