"We have also arrested 15 suspected members of the sect in different locations in the area. Investigations are going on and the suspects are helping us with vital information," Eli said.

He said the outfit had re-strategised its operational tactics to ensure total victory over insurgency in the state.

The spokesman said the operation was on going in the area to comb out the insurgents thoroughly.

Eli appealed to the public to offer "timely information" on suspicious movements in the localities for quick response "because information and time are two key factors to our operations."

"We have enjoyed good partnership with the public, and we are working on ways to strengthen this partnership and confidence for a collective fight against terrorism in the state."
