Enugu community clash: , 11 houses and Police post burnt down

Tension is rising in Abbi community in Uzo-Uwani local government area of Enugu State following a power tussle between some natives and the council's vice chairman, Mr Maxwell Odoakpa. Information has

it that, in the last one week, no fewer than 12 houses including a police post, were set ablaze in the community.

The crisis, it was gathered, has forced some residents to flee to neighbouring towns over fear of reprisal attacks.

When contacted, the council chairman, Mr. Cornell Onwubuya, said that he was yet to be informed of the development in the community.

"How can I fuel a crisis in an area I am the chief security officer? My vice chairman is from Abbi and he knows everything about the crisis in that community," he stated.
