President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria has secured the release of Alhaji
Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer
Force, who recently arrested in neighboring Benin Republic.
According to Sahara Reporters, Dokubo-Asari was released after President
Jonathan personally intervened on his behalf with President Yayi Boni
of Benin Republic.
Festus Keyamo, Dokubo-Asari's Lawyer confirmed his release. A
presidential jet was sent to transport Dokubo-Asari back to Nigeria
immediately after his release.
